Soaking in God's presence
Soaking in God’s Presence
“Soaking Prayer”
What is Soaking Prayer?
The old word would be “tarry” or waiting on the Lord, but there is an emphasis on rest over striving in prayer. Soaking prayer is a time we set aside to quiet ourselves and devote our attention and our hearts to Our Heavenly Father, Our King, Our Sovereign Lord. He so desperately wants to reveal His passionate love for us. Come and allow Him to minister to you. We will play intimate worship music and read scriptures as you soak (rest) in His presence. A team of prayer ministers will cover the session in prayer. Join us for this powerful time of prayer. The Father will be waiting for you.
Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
How do I know if I need to soak?
-
If you are spiritually dry or just plain tired, soaking can revitalize your spirit and body.
-
If you are looking for a fresh vision and direction in life, soaking can bring it.
-
If you are having relationship difficulties, soaking can give you new resources of grace, patience and love.
-
If you long to move more powerfully in the gifts of the Spirit, soaking can help you hear God more clearly.
-
If you simply want to have more intimacy with your Heavenly Father, soaking can take you deeper.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. Psalm 23:1-3

testimonies
“One of my close colleagues recently experienced the tragic and untimely death of his younger brother. I was struggling to find meaningful words to write in a sympathy card. A few days later, I attended Soaking Prayer. That quiet hour in God’s presence helped me to find the words to pray over the situation and the words to write in the sympathy card to let my colleague know that I was praying for him and his family at this time of loss.”

I didn’t know what to expect when I came to Soaking Prayer. I have a son who is not walking with the Lord and I was all geared up to attend this prayer meeting intending to pray with others about my son. But, when the woman leading the Soaking Prayer said it was a time to rest in God’s love, I thought well that’s what I will do. I set aside my agenda and prayers. It was so peaceful. I will definitely come to Soaking Prayer again.
